About Coach

Growing up, my parents always encouraged us to get outside and play and to participate in sports. We were always encouraged to live an active lifestyle. I tried out multiple sports growing up such as gymnastics, softball, karate and tumbling. Gymnastics stuck with me until I switched to competitive cheerleading in high school. After graduating high school, I went on to coach gymnastics while going to college for my nursing degree. However, I quickly realized how easy it was to get out of the swing of eating healthy and working out regularly. I was consumed with school and working. I started eating badly and never exercising and I used every excuse I could to not go to the gym. My physical health was deteriorating and taking a HUGE toll on my mental health.

Turning Point

One day, while at work, I realized just how out of shape I was when I was out of breath just trying to keep up with the kids I was coaching at gymnastics. I was absolutely exhausted after work and began getting down on myself for letting myself reach that point. I decided to join 24/7 fitness in hopes of getting back on the right path. Well, that turned into me wasting hours of my days in the gym walking on the treadmill and walking around to different machines. I knew it wasn’t for me but I didn’t know what else to do. I received an invite to try cross-fit and I was so hesitant because I didn’t think I was capable of the things that they did. I was embarrassed to work out around other people. But one day I took a leap of faith and decided to join. Everyone was so welcoming and I absolutely fell in love with it! The vibe was different than other gyms. It was a community of people who wanted to encourage you and see you get better. Everyone was a family and I loved that! I started to see results so quickly and fell in love with the movements. I actually wanted to go to the gym. It wasn’t something I dreaded anymore… years later and I still love it just as much.

Motivation & Passion

I want everyone to walk into the gym and feel as if they are a part of this huge family that wants nothing more than to see them better themselves each and every day. I want everyone to feel encouraged and welcomed! There is nothing better than seeing someone push themselves beyond limits that they thought were not possible. I love seeing people transform themselves mentally and physically. There is nothing more encouraging as a coach than seeing someone so excited as they get PR or seeing someone come in so excited because the shorts they put on that day were big on them. Every victory is one to celebrate and I love being a part of that.
