About Coach

I played a few sports growing up, but was never really an "athletic" kid. I wrestled, played football and baseball, but mainly skateboarding in high school. After high school I let my career take priority over my health, and got REALLY out of shape.

Turning Point

At 30 I finally had enough. I was almost 300lbs and would get out of breath tying my shoes. I decided I wanted to take back control of my life. So I registered for my first Spartan Race in 2014. Over the next couple of years, I lost almost a hundred pounds and did several different obstacle races. In 2017 I wanted to take it to the next level. I joined a CrossFit gym. THIS CHANGED MY LIFE. I started getting strong AND fast. Finding a community to work out with pushes you to be better.I was competing in races instead of just finishing them. to date, I've done over 100 different races. Earned 5 Spartan trifectas in 1 year. Completed the Spartan Ultra as well as other long Endurance events. I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life and I'm not stopping anytime soon.

Motivation & Passion

I want everyone to feel that same feeling that I felt after joining for the 1st time. Everyone should have a community to work out with that encourages them to be the best version of themselves. I feel encouraged as a coach and teacher when I see our members hit a new PR or are able to do a movement for the 1st time.
