NYC’s Premier Strength Training Program

Over the years, for every person who has come to us saying they wanted to improve their aerobic capacity there have been ten who have said they wanted to get stronger. People understand that as they age, they will get weaker, unless they do something about it.

We created a serious strength program that uses what we know works best for getting stronger: barbell lifts—squat, press, bench press, dead lift—plus some supplemental exercises. If you want to get stronger, this is the program. Everyone that does the work gets results.

How to Start Strength Training at CrossFit NYC

If you are new to the barbell lifts, we offer Strength On-Ramp, a single 45-minute private training session that will get you ready for our Monday and Thursday Strength classes. Once you finish the Strength On-Ramp session (or immediately, if you are already familiar with the lifts) you are welcome to start classes, either with a class pack or with a Strength Monthly Membership.

Our morning strength classes are taught by senior coach Jim McDade, who also runs our Hyrox program. Our evening strength classes are taught by senior coach Brian DeGennaro, who also runs our Olympic Lifting program.
